Overseas shipping debacle, results so far; Royal Mail 1 v 7th Storey Projects 0
Right, quick ish update on overseas shipping from 7th Storey Projects (or lack thereof).
As some may know, I'm currently caught up in a major complaint with Royal Mail that’s unfortunately still unresolved - I won't bore you with the granular detail, but suffice to say, Royal Mail are a bunch of useless w*nkers (actually, that's a disservice to useless w*nkers).
I have had numerous good folk based outside the UK asking if I could just use temporary online/over the counter prices while the seemingly endless complaint rumbles on, so they can get their fix of black crack - I've resisted until now because I was hoping the issue would be resolved long before now, and didn't want people paying over the top for shipping one day, then not the next - but as the complaint is rumbling on way longer than expected, I have acquiesced.
The Upshot:
Overseas (non UK) shipping will commence today - but, in the interests of transparency, as I alluded to earlier, shipping prices will be a fair bit higher than when my Business Account is active again, so please consider this fair warning! As soon as I have access to the lower prices, they will change to what will hopefully, all being well, be much nicer prices.
At present, I'm only offering tracked shipping too - the price for this is generally a bit higher than untracked, but the security it offers everyone is possibly worth it, I think - in a lot of instances, such as to the USA, tracked is actually less expensive than untracked - go figure!
I'm shipping to the following destinations to start with, with more to be added as and when required:
- European Union
- Norway
- Switzerland
- Russia
- USA
- Canada
- Australia
- New Zealand
Just to reconfirm, I'm not VAT registered in the UK at present, so the price you see is the flat rated price you see for all products, and you may be liable for import/customs/VAT fees when the order arrives in your home country.
Apologies again for any inconvenience this is causing, it's been a nightmare, but I'm hoping against hope there will be a satisfactory resolution soon!
